Christmas Bar Cart

 I don't know what it is about bar carts because I rarely have a drink, but I absolutely love styling it throughout the year. Today, I'm sharing a Christmas Cart update. For this cart update I kept the styling clean and simple, sometimes less is more! If you haven't seen my beginners guide to the bar cart, be sure to check it out for more inspiration. I think my Valentine Bar Cart is my absolute favorite, but this Christmas update is a close contender. 

I'm sad to admit it, but this little white tree was actually mine and Tims' Christmas tree last year. I didn't spend on home decor at all because I knew our place was going to be temporary, so the same thing applied when decorating for Christmas. I didn't want to be too girly with our tree and mantel decor, but for the bar cart I wanted my love of blush, gold, and white to shine! You don't have to spend a lot to add some holiday flare to your bar cart. Just add 2-3 holiday touches and you'll be feeling festive.

I'm in love with all things Sugar Paper, so these mini pastel ornaments were a no brainer. I also purchased this heart and star ornament set to add in a slightly larger size. Both were under $5!  Everything else I already had from my bar cart collection but went with the theme perfectly. I added faux snow to the bottom to make it a little brighter and whiter. I found my gold paper banner at Home Goods but it is available online here. 

My bar cart is currently on sale for $89, so if you're looking for a budget friendly option this is probably your best bet! If adding in wood touches isn't your thing, there is also this gold and glass bar cart option on sale there as well.

Coffee Table Books on Sale

Last night I was browsing the TJ Maxx website when I came across this coffee table book jackpot! TJ Maxx and HomeGoods are my go-to stores to get coffee table books, and I'll usually add one to my online purchase to get free shipping. However, I have never seen this many amazing options to choose from online so I wanted to share with y'all in case you're trying to collect them!

I love using coffee table books as decor to add interest and height to decorative objects. You'll see them all over my office tour on my shelf that I love to style! They can get expensive, especially if you have designer taste (I'm eyeing you Chanel and Louis Vuitton up there!). EMPTY HOUSE TOUR

Hey Friends! I've been a little MIA this summer so I wanted to catch you up to where I've been... we bought a house! If you'd be interested in reading about our experience buying our first house, I'll be happy to share. Lets just say it's stressful and a world of unknowns. But for today I wanted to share this video I shot the first day we went to the house :)

I hope to venture into house updates and decor on the blog as we go. We're starting from scratch because I didn't want to buy anything in our rental in case it wouldn't work for our future home. Currently, our bed is still on the floor, the only thing in our living room is a couch and tv, and the running count for trips to Home Depot is 9 😂

Our house is turn key, but I do have some plans as far as updates I'd like to make to make it our own, maybe I'll cross them off and update them here as I go! 

Tiling the master shower and updating the vanity with paint, hardware, and new mirror

Paint Tims video game room (the green room)

Paint the navy accent wall to brighten it up for my video / blog room

Shiplap or paint the powder room, add storage

Plant things outside that make me happy (and I won't kill)

New carpet upstairs

Add some interest to the kitchen island (such as x's on the side)

New hardwood floors + add hardwoods on stairs 

Update the shelving unit in the pantry
