30 min Cardio Circuit

No you're not dreaming, this is a workout for WOW (Workout Wednesday). It's been a few months since I posted weekly workouts, thanks to flag football. Ok really that's not the only reason but it's a dang good one and I'm using it. For those of you who don't know I had thumb surgery at the end of last year due to an injury at a flag football state tournament...yes, these do exists! It's still limiting the types of workout I can do (I can only grip 2lbs, watch out) but that doesn't stop me from doing these types of cardio workouts. I modify the burpees with a bench so I can do them on my forearms. The toe taps are performed either on a low bench or like I did on the end of the treadmill. I did a total of 5 rounds in 30 mins, only take a break when you need it! I burned roughly 400 calories.

Blue Hues

This look is featuring these teal heels from Just Fab that matched perfectly with my mini mac and these earrings (in teal). I paired it with my favorite scarf from Francesca's (almost exact & $15!). My coats top is from the Atlanta Mart, and the jeans are old from Express.. shop similar options in the widget below.

Quick little Insta-chic before the weekend. I finally don't have a weekend taken over by school/studying and since it will be cold I have a lot of Netflix planned ;)
These post cards from Kate Spade were given out over Valentines Weekend and some people have asked about getting them. If I make it over there I'll ask if they still have any!

The cutest homemade display at The Paris Market. Sadly they were out of the {real} macaroons we were after.

Selfie time in a square, featuring some early Spring blooms and some sunshine!

Cute school supplies can always help you get stuff done. Minus procrastinating to get the perfect picture of it all, but hey y'all know the struggle.

Quick mirror pic before leaving for church. I've been living in this leather jacket, mainly because I left my other neutral jacket back home and it literally goes with everything!
Flats / jeans / scarf: J Crew (old) / top: Banana Republic

Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Lady In Red

For Valentines weekend Tim took some time off to visit me in Savannah. Before our dinner date on Friday we ran to the dock to shoot some photos and just made it at sunset. We ate a Cha Bella, a farm to table restaurant I've heard a lot about. Luckily it wasn't very crowded, but I was sad they had the limited Valentine's weekend menu... give me the full experience! Afterward, we walked over to LuLu's Chocolate Bar because it's basically I crime I haven't been there yet in my almost two years of being down here. We splurged on some white chocolate chip cheesecake, excuse me while I daydream about every bite.

Saturday we spent the day downtown with friends and dragged the boys shopping. That evening we went to see American Sniper then picked up a Papa Johns pizza for dinner (pizza is my forever weakness). Sadly, it wasn't in the shape of a heart, but it was still delicious nonetheless.

As for my outfit details, I've had this blazer for a while now but have only worn it a few times (red isn't usually my first color choice). I used the holiday as an excuse and paired it with a neutral top and my favorite jeans. Both it and the top are from Francescas, while my watch and necklace are a throwback to my retail days at Coach. I've put together similar options in the widget below!

PS: excuse the out of control baby hairs. I'm hoping my hair is finally thickening....

Valentine Gift Guide for Him & Her

Valentines Day, you either love it or hate it. I'm somewhere in the middle- it should be celebrated but nothing over the top. Just acknowledge it with some flowers and/or chocolate and I'm happy (I mean when wouldn't chocolate make me happy??). I love to eat out, but restaurants are always loud and extra crowded. Tim and I decided to do our dinner date the night before Valentines Day at a small restaurant hoping for a quieter night.. well see how it goes! After the holidays, my birthday, and anniversary back to back we are usually low key for the holiday. However, if you're looking for a gift to show that special someone/ your best friend/ you parents you love them here are some of my picks at every price point!

sunglasses / clutch / nail polish (or a mani/pedi!) / robe / candle / perfume / watch / lip scrub / card / iPhone case / lipstick / mug

As you can see the boy gifts are a little tougher for me, but they deserve some loving too! If all else fails, sign them of for a male subscription service of some type and let the pros do the picking!

products I've used up, empties, beauty favorites, mascara, batiste, beauty review, makeup, makeup review, tart review, eyeliner review, foundation review, MUFE HD foundation

Instead of sharing my Friday Favorites I thought I would write about some recent products I've sadly used up. It seems like I go forever without emptying a product then BAM, they all decide it's time to go. Some of these I have already re-purchased, and others I'm waiting to use up similar items until I shop again.

Starting with two I've already re-purchased... the TRESemme hairspray has been in my beauty cabinet for years. I've wanted to venture out and try others, but this one does the job (holds but is flexible aka no gross crunch- and I have very fine hair!) while being one of the cheapest options at the drugstore. The second product I never let myself run out of is the Batiste dry shampoo. I think I've gone through 4 of these total, maybe 5. Other dry shampoos have left my hair feeling gritty and weird, but I use this everyday for extra volume and to refresh my hair. A little tip of mine is to spray it further away than you think, the closer you spray the more you have to worry about white residue in your hair to brush out.

I'm sad this candle (scent red current) from Fabrik is burnt out because it smelt up my room as soon as it was lit and really did last a lot longer than I anticipated. It has a very neutral smell that I think anyone would love.

I used this  Illegal Length mascara on top of my favorite volumizing mascara because it was really good at lengthening. However this time it seemed to irritate my eyes somehow, I'm not sure if it was a weird batch or the little fibers in the formula but I had to cut its use short. The second mascara I've used up (link) came in a Sephora last stash (love these every year!). It was a good happy medium mascara between lengthening and volumizing, but since my favorite mascara discovery was along with it in the stash it wasn't my first choice when applying.

I've used this foundation throughout the whole year of 2014 and once it was out I still haven't really settled on a new foundation that beats it. It's very light on the skin but has a great coverage. Do you have any recommendations for me? I've tried Estee Lauder and although the coverage is amazing I think it's too heavy for everyday (I would definitely wear it to shoot blog posts though!). I'm currently using this oldie but a goodie that's been in my collection until I find another one. This concealer had a great brightening affect but it seems like I really went through the product quickly. However NYX seems to have the best color range as far as drugstore concealers go.

I've gone through two of these lip conditioners and although they are luxurious I don't plan to repurchase anytime soon. However this lip serum from this has caught my eye, have you tried it?

Benefit Gimme Brow is a great brow product for quick color. I have blond eyelashes and eyebrows, so I use eyebrow products to just make it look like I have eyebrows, haha. I really liked using this product on school days when need to get ready quickly. I plan to re-purchase it at some point, just haven't gotten around to it yet!

Lastly the product I'm most sad about throwing away is this go-to liner of mine for the perfect cat eye. This product is so easy to use because the tip is a lot thinner than most liners of its kind. I prefer this because I get a more precise wing. I'm still sad they discontinued the brown formulation (2 year grudge and counting) - I think the brown color suits me best with my light features. Again, I'm trying to use up other products so I've gone back to this gel liner for the time being.

Well there's a not so quick mini review on a few products I've used up. Anything you've recently used up I should know about??

I had the pleasure of celebrating 2 years with Tim last weekend. We had a great dinner at Table and Main in downtown Roswell. Even though the weather was rainy and cold, I wasn't going to pass up the chance to wear my new red bow heels! I didn't have too many options to choose from (packing always gets the best of me), but I found this top on mega sale (who isn't a sucker for sale on sale??) and couldn't resist a new top for the occasion! PS- I purchased the blouse in store for around 24$, but online it's more!) He completely surprised me with this David Yurman ring after dinner. I'm counting down the days until it comes back after being sized!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to enter my giveaway over on Instagram (or here). We added a new prize yesterday!
