Of course I'm bringing you a special edition of Friday Favorites because ^. Halloween is the most fun holiday of the year, and that's coming from a girl who couldn't watch Scoobie Doo growing up. I'm not really about being scared, but I do love everything else about it (aka candy). Usually, I do everything in my power to incorporate a tutu into my costume, but this year I decided to go as an "obnoxious crossfit-er" - inspired by this video. I have my paleo lunch packed, baby powder, a fake barbell to throw around all night, and a custom tee to pull off my look. I'm fully expecting to be sore on Saturday from all my WODs planned for the night.
What are you/did you dressing up as?

This DIY Mermaid costume by the one and only Lauren Conrad is everything

Hungry? You should probably make these for breakfast

Of course Taylor Swifts new album needs to be mentioned! I miss her old half loving//half bitter country albums, but homegirl can put out an album. My favorite at the moment is Blank Space. Whats yours?

Goodnight Macaroon is having 30% off everything with code HALLOWEEN (ending today)
LOFT is having 40% off everything in store (ends Saturday)
Old Navy is having $15 of your $50 purchase (and flannels are $19) in store today
Forever 21 is having 20% off with code F21FRIEND (ends Nov 2)
BaubleBar: get additional 20% off sale with code SPOOKY
Target: BOGO 50% off clothing

Wishing everyone a safe and fun weekend!

P.S: Check out my Instagram closet, Currently listed are designer knee high boots and a Marc Jacobs rose gold watch!

Feminine Camo?

Top: Old Navy / Skirt: J. Crew Factory / Belt: ASOS / Heels: Ivanka Trump / Bag: Rebecka Minkoff / Bracelets: Stella and Dot, Coach, Tiffany and Co.  { Shop these and similar options in widget below! }

Camo is one of those trends you probably either love or hate. I definitely had to talk myself into purchasing this top, because honestly I didn't think I could pull it off. Pairing it with a skirt, bow belt, and some fun pumps (of course I went with leopard) made it fit right it. Now I challenge you to style an outfit around a piece out of your comfort zone!

MAC Eyeshadow Favorites

This is for all you MAC junkies out there! Over the summer I finally picked up the newer version of MAC's pan eyeshadow palette. I decided having all of them in one was much easier than opening two separate palettes, and I think I use them more often now that I see them all together. There is a clear plastic (seen on the left) that separates the two sides to prevent them from touching. Above I marked my most used eyeshadows with hearts, because I love them that much, but really it's just cute.

Below I listed out every color in case you were curious, and starred my favorites.

Top Row: Brule / Phloof* / Vanilla / Nylon* / Ricepaper
Middle Row: Jest* / Naked Lunch / Glamour Check* / All that Glitters / Patina
Bottom Row: Bold and Brazen / Expensive Pink / Electra / Wedge* / Soft Brown

Since my idol Lauren Conrad doesn't really wear much eyeshadow, I don't really either. If I do, it's always the same basic neutrals to just give my eyes definition. The standout in my neutral palette is Nylon, which instantly brightens up your face when applied to the inner corner. I typically start with applying Naked Lunch or Jest to my lid, Wedge in the crease for natural definition, then combine Phloof and Vanilla for my brow bone. If it's the weekend, my favorite color to darken up my crease it Bronze.. it does wonders for blue eyes!

Top Row: Woodwinked / Bronze* / Mulch / Sable / Satin Toupe
Middle Row: Smoke and Diamonds / Knight Divine / Style Snob / Glamour Check / Sketch
Bottom Row: Corduroy / Expresso / / Mystery* / Smut / Carbon

Major side note: I started Bikram Yoga (hot yoga) this week and I'm happy to report I made it through my first class. I thought I would be distracted by the men in their yoga skivvies -- yes I'm talking tiger speedo yoga shorts, but I was more focused on not passing out and not hurting myself.  I'm pretty competitive, even when it comes to contorting and stretching my body. I'm excited to see how I progress after my 30 day trial. If you're in the Savannah area and want to try out a seriously discounted month trial (23$ / 160$ value) click here!

Pink Elephants

top: J. Crew (sale! .. also mentioned in a post here) // Shorts: J. Crew //
Bag: Coach Willis (old, classic is in widget below // Scarf: Stella and Dot //
Shoes: C. Wonder (old, shop the newer styles here)

For months I tried to track down this sold out scarf, and after meeting my new S&D seller on Instagram (check her out here) she finally hunted one down for me! But now you're in luck because they just re-released a new version for holiday. It's SO soft and has pink elephants, need I go on?  I've already worn it three times, but considering there's probably only been two fall-ish weather days in Savannah I'd say those are pretty good odds.

Happy Monday,

Pumps and Push-Ups

October is definitely my favorite month- Halloween (always brings notable tutu action), fall weather, and everything pumpkin...pumpkin bread is currently in the oven AND I just got a pumpkin macaroon. Tomorrow, I'm going on a haunted pub crawl...Like I said, October gets me.

A shot from my vanity in Atlanta (see my beauty travel case here).

I went to the Belk Girls Night Out event last week to meet up with local bloggers. Be sure to check out The Style HunterGlitter and Juls, and Megan's Instagram here. I got to meet Chip and Pepper, and I'm seriously recommending their denim. We all picked up their gray skinnies, and even sized down in them!

This look was featured in my last fashion post (see it here). The vest and leopard flats will be my go to this fall.

My MUFE HD foundation ran out (just after saying it was a never ending bottle- it lasted almost a year) so I decided to try out this foundation from Estee Lauder that I have heard so many people rave about. Along with my purchase, I got all these goodies to try out!

That one time Savannah got the most perfect fall Sunday (a few weeks ago before another heatwave hit). I spent it with my cousin and friend downtown for Octoberfest. This sweater is old from AE, jeans are J. Crew, and fringe booties are from Jessica Simpson.

A shot from a corner in my room where lots of studying goes down. I picked up the gold pillow on sale at Target recently.

Last night we attended the Garth Brooks concert in Jacksonville. I was worried Tim wouldn't make it through the concert (he is the complete opposite of southern- minus his charm ;) But he said it was a good show! I've been waiting for Garth to tour basically my whole life.

Happy Weekend!

Olive this vest

That can probably go down in history as the cheesiest title ever on SCxo, but it is what it is... There's so many ways to style an olive vest during the fall season, and this look is one of my favorites for everyday wear. You can throw it over dresses, sweaters, and stripe/flannel/solid tops for an effortless layered look. And don't act surprised that I paired it with leopard flats. These are still in the breaking- in stage, but I'd say they are well worth the blister on my heel.

Happy Monday :)

Beauty To-Go

I do a lot of traveling back and forth between school in Savannah and boyfriend/family in Atlanta. Luckily, I have this Dior makeup case (gifted from the Dior Diva program) that has lasted a few years now. I previously used a traditional makeup bag, but I love how this one has a spot for my brushes and has a hard shell to protect everything (no accidental squeezing going on). Usually it's much more organized when initially packing, but these photos were taken once I got back to Savannah, so everything just gets thrown in the second time around ;)

On the top portion I keep flatter items such as eyeliners and lip products. I always like to travel with clean make-up brushes so I can save room (I use the MAC cleaner for quick cleans and baby shampoo for deeper cleaning). I somehow managed to forget my liquid eyeliner (so not ok for an avid cat-eye girl) but Tim picked me up a drugstore version because he's the sweetest. We may or may not have face timed during the crucial selection.

I've been loving this Elf lip exfoliator (plus you can't beat the price tag) but it's definitely on the harsher side of lip scrubs that I've tried so keep that in mind!

Other items pictured: rose gold eyelash curler, MAC limited edition lipgloss (not available), Elf lip exfoliator, NARS lipstick in cruising, NYX HD concealer, currently sampling Clinique mascara from a Sephora Lash Stash, MAC eyeshadow in Omega (for eyebrows), Anastasia eyebrows pencil in caramel, MAC paint pot in painterly (used for years), Stila eyeliner for waterline, and NARS lipgloss in turkish delight (love).

On the bottom of the case, I always start with my eyeshadow palette (it's hard to see because it's black underneath- but I plan to do a post on it next week!) I've been using the Makeup Forever HD foundation for a year now (it refuses to run out but I'm not complaining) and I definitely recommend it. I used it on my cousin for her wedding and she loved it enough to purchase it herself. It's very light weight and looks and feels like skin once blended.

I picked up a new beauty blender from Amazon, and although I'm not certain it's authentic, it does the job (I use my hands for everyday at school but the sponge on weekends or when I'm actually getting ready.. if that makes sense).  I don't always use the Dior lash primer, but since we were celebrating Tim's birthday I made sure to bring it. I like that it keeps my lashes soft and separated unlike other primers, plus it claims to add in growth properties so that's always a bonus! Lastly, it may seem like a silly product, but the Clinique bottom lash mascara is worth every penny (10$). I've always had a problem with my mascara transferring onto my cheek, but this has never done that. Also, the brush is teeny tiny adorable. For some reason I've stored it in the box so it's easier to see.

Other items included: Nars laguna bronzer and deep throat blush (both well loved), Duo lash glue, Benefit high beam, Hourglass ambient lighting powder in diffused light, Bare Minerals foundation, and Tarte amazonian clay blush in exposed (it's guaranteed to give you cheekbones!), Tarte Mascara (used individual lashes so I didn't use this, but it creates much more dramatic lashes than the Clinique)

What are some of your favorite beauty products at the moment?

Since I'm obsessed with all things Tory Burch, I wanted to share with y'all the new watch line launching today! The collection was inspired by vintage jewelry, art, color, and travel. I was impressed with how many different collections there were, including:

The Tory: More traditional silver, gold watches, some with fun colors in the background!
The Reva: (My favorite) Colorful leather style with the Tory Burch Logo in the background
The Buddy Classic and Signature: Vintage inspired square-faced watch with a leather band.
The Izzie: Graphic and modern. They feature a clear case inlaid with a graphic pattern.
The Sawyer: Gold cuff watch inspired by Tory's favorite vintage piece.
Limited Edition the Robinson: 10-year anniversary watch

There's a total of 34 watches available online right now (click here to shop). Which is your favorite?
