Cozy Blanket Scarf

blanket scarf, strawberry chic, fall fashion
I''m someone who is always cold... If I could bring a blanket with me everywhere I go without looking ridiculous I probably would. The next best thing? Blanket scarves. As soon as Tim and I got to the movies, I got to cuddle up in this cozy blanket scarf from Aerie (c/o). It's currently on sale for under $18 and would make an awesome gift for a friend. There are so many ways to style a blanket scarf, but my favorite is to just wrap and tuck. This one wasn't the typical square shape, so I didn't have to fold it into a triangle before wrapping it around (you can leave the ends out or tuck them!). Another easy way to style them is to go with the poncho trend I've seen around lately-  just drop it flat across your back and bring the ends towards the front (for a visual look at the right image in the widget below).
What's your favorite way to style a blanket scarf?

Styling Faux Fur

chicwish faux fur, strawberry chic, winter fashion, faux fur, affordable fashion lookschicwish faux fur, strawberry chic, winter fashion, faux fur, affordable fashion looks

I can get claustrophobic in sweaters or other heavy winter tops..I've avoided turtle necks my whole life. So to stay warm this time of year I love to layer vests over lighter tops/dresses. Faux fur is one of the easiest way to spice up your look in the colder months. The good ones can cost a pretty penny, but this one looks like it costs more than $42! The stripes give the outfit more eye candy, but if you're not a fan I've linked a bunch of cute options below!

Now that my clinical rotation is over I have four weeks to focus on bringing you blog content. I was pretty lazy on here adjusting to the real world, but expect more of me the next few weeks ;) If you're looking for gift ideas, I updated all my shop widgets and added a gift guide tab. xo

Winter Neutrals

Vest ($25) / Top (similar) / Jeans: Target / Shoes: old Vince Camuto's (similar, similar) / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff in Fog - (similar, similar ($15!)

This post started with a story we all know too well. I went to Target on my lunch break to get some gum, and you know where this story ends. I found this Sherpa-style vest and decided to deal with it's shedding because it's SO soft. I also didn't really want to invest in a vest like this at the time. I love that this one is lighter in color than most I've seen, and it's not as stiff as others I've tried on. To avoid lent rolling for days I would recommend wearing this vest with tops that more on the silky side. If that''s a deal breaker for you, I found this one over the weekend and it's just as soft and cozy and won't shed all over your leggings.

Hope your Monday is treating you well!

What I'm Wearing this Thanksgiving

Tank ($19!) / Jeans: Nordstrom Rack / Shoes / Cardigan (old) / Bag (new version linked or similar here) / Lipstick: color is Cruisin /  bracelet (similar and 30% off)

Hello Hello! It's been too long, but I wanted to share what I was wearing today and wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving from my device to yours! I got to spend it with both mine and my future family today, it's awesome being so close to both of them!

I found this tank on clearance and as soon as I saw this color I knew it would be perfect for today. It's flowy, a necessity for days like today! The chest area runs a little small, so depending on your situation up there you may want to order a size up. I always love a pop of leopard during the fall, I have to resist adding too much of it sometimes! P.S my favorite leopard clutch is currently on sale #treatyoself

Cheers to stuffed bellies and full hearts! Happy Thanksgiving,

Fall Basics

Top: Shop Dress Up / Jeans: Nordstrom Rack / Booties old (similar, similar) / Scarf: linked below / Lip color: Buxom

My go-to look for fall is a basic flowy top paired with a scarf and booties. It's something you should have multiples of in your closet for when you claim to have nothing to wear! The newest trend has been a scarf of steroids- the blanket scarf. They're so warm and cozy they instantly give your outfit a little more oomph. It's a piece I'll continue to wear every fall season.. even if it still smells like the Mexican restaurant I ate at after these pictures :(

It's officially half way through my clinical rotation and I'm starting the countdown until Christmas break (my last one, AH!). I'm still adjusting to adult life that over the weekend I barely left the house.  I'm normally all about Halloween, but this year I didn't want to stress about it. What did you dress up as over the weekend??

Trending This Fall: The Saddle Bag

When you live in the south you have to adjust to whatever mother nature decides to throw at you. Last week we had a low in the 30's then all weekend we were in the high 70's. My sinuses don't appreciate it, but it gave me the chance to style dresses a little longer! My dress is from Fashion Cupcake, a boutique in my hometown, and my booties are old from Jessica Simpson (similar here and here). I'm definitely on the hunt for a new pair of booties, so if you have any suggestions let me know! I purchased this handbag years ago when I worked for Coach, and now the 70's saddle bag trend is back and better than ever. I've linked my favorites in the widget below!

Natural Glow with Spray Studio

self tan, spray tan, tan, moisturizer, gradual tan

skincase, hydration, products, beauty, spray studio, self tan

Back in August I teamed up with Spray Studio to try out their all-natural/vegan spray tan and  new line of products, perfect timing before my trip to Arizona. The biggest difference between a DIY tan and getting it done professionally is the color customization and application on your hands, feet, and back. Even with my years of self-tan experience, my hands and feet have never looked that blended. Also, I've had one machine spray tan before and will never do that again.. I didn't line up my hands to the exact degree it sprayed at so I had two toned hands... no thanks.

Prior to my appointment I followed their prep guidelines and decided on the single splash formulation instead of the quick splash (the difference is when you shower). The spray technician asked me how dark I wanted to be on a 1-10 scale, and helped me decide what would look best for my skin tone*!* While she was creating my formula, she educated me on the best way to extend the tan while on my vacation. Sticking to plant based moisturizers from natural sources would extend my tan the longest, and HELLO, who wouldn't want to use natural products even without a tan?? Everything at Studio Spray has been created by the owner and only include products that are good for you and your skin while giving you results (the 3rd picture above was 2 days after my tanning session).

I was worried my skin would completely dry out in the hot Arizona environment, but between the hydra mist and body lotion I didn't experience any dryness. I generously applied the body lotion twice daily and threw the hydra-mist in my bag for quick hydration on the go. There are a few difference  scents to choose from, including non-scented if you have extra-sensitive skin. I went with Sugar-Splash for most of the products, and now every time I use one I think of the best trip of my life! P.S the pictures in that post were 4 days after my spray to give you an idea on how it wears with a daily shower.

I didn't need to use the self tanning products until a few days after I got back. There were a few spots that lifted around the arm pit, but I was expecting much worse with all the hiking we did. My favorite product from the line is the gradual tan. I've been a user of Jergens "natural" glow for years, but this product gives you way better color payoff in just one use. I always have to grab the gradual tanner from my Moms' bathroom because she loves it too! The temporary tint is another great product to have in your beauty cabinet for an extra color boost before a night out. It's similar to the Sally Hansen leg makeup, except it's not as messy and chalky - especially when you use the mist applicator (which are way more durable than the St. Tropez mit). Check out all the products I've been using below for a more detailed description and list of ingredients.

Use code BERRYCHICLOVE to get 30% off your order at Shop Spray Studio (good until December!)

I will definitely be trusting the girls at Studio Spray for all my bridal glow needs in the next year. Speaking of bridal- would y'all want me to share my wedding planning experience on the blog?? Special thanks to Alicia, Ashley, and the girls at Spray Studio Atlanta!

The Home T

georgia home tee, the home t

Every time I wear this shirt  from The Home T I get at least one person to feel how soft it is. You may recognize them from Shark Tank, and their claims are true- the shirt is insanely soft! No matter what state you call home, you can rep yours stylishly and my favorite- comfortably. Plus, they support a great cause by donating a MINIMUM of 10% of their proceeds to MS research...learn more about the disease here

There are so many ways to style them, but I paired mine (size small) with my trusty white jeans to lighten the look and paired it with this field jacket (similar) and booties (love these, lots of similar options here) for the pretty fall day. I definitely want to add a tank to my collection, and I think they would make a great gift year-round. I mean, how cute are the baby onesies!?

Happy Monday peeps, I'm finally back!

Engagement Outfit Details

proposal outfit, pink skirt, fashion, clare v clutch,

Top (BOGO 50%) / Skirt: Fiore Boutique Kennesaw / Shoes (marked down to $39!) / Clutch / Necklace via Rocksbox / Bracelet via Rocksbox / Earrings: color sold out but you can get on the waitlist!

Hiiiiiii, I'm back! Thelast month has been an absolute dream, and after a much needed break I'm trying to get back into my school and blog routine. Last week was the first week back in school, and I was so not ready for that jelly. The post-vacation depression is slowly wearing off, but the extra fluff from it is definitely still here, bye Felicia.
You have probably heard the big news, but if not read this post first to get a little more in the loop with this post. This "blog shoot" was just before he popped the question, so that's probably why there's not too much to show you... the boy had other things on his mind besides getting the outfit shots. Can you spy our undercover camera man in the photographs above?? Hint, he's taller than 3.5ft

Now for the outfit details. This tank is a must have in your wardrobe. It's something you can wear year round layered under blazers or solo in the summer like above. It comes in a lot of colors, and you even get two-for-one because they're reversible. I've worn this skirt from Fiore Boutique before (see the look here), and it's been a piece in my wardrobe that makes me feel most like myself. It's pink, girly, and comfortable... check, check, check in my book! Now lets talk about the shoes. They're so comfortable, and not in the "oh they're comfortable for heels" kinda comfortable, but are actually shoes you can wear all day. OH, and they're marked down from $120 to $39! They sometimes switch between gray and more of a taupe, so I think they're very versatile.

For my accessories, these fun earrings were a purchase just before Arizona because I needed some turquoise in my life. Is it considered a neutral yet?! My little necklace was purchased from Rocksbox, because I can never pass on discounted Kendra Scott when I receive them in my box every month... oops! Use code strawberrychicxoxo to get your first month free as a test drive. Free jewelry people, that's a no brainer!

As a little side note, I've updated all my sidebars and shop page so be sure to check them out before they change for fall! Also, you can now shop all my Instagrams here

Now to make my coffee a double and get to school. Happy Monday!
